Born 1950 as the eldest son of the important intangible cultural property holders.

After graduating from high school in 1970, he studied with his father and entered the pottery world.

Masami has been a Japanese crafts regular member since 1975 (bizen world youngest one)

2008 Certified as a Traditional Craftsman.

1950年 壽峯の長男として備前市伊部に生まれる1970年 父について作陶をはじめる日本伝統工芸展初入選1975年 日本工芸会正会員に認定される1983年 中国支部奨励賞受賞1986年 岡山県知事賞受賞1991年 中国支部岡山市長賞受賞1993年 玄画会　玄画大賞受賞1996年 工芸会　中国支部長賞受賞2008年 備前焼の伝統工芸士に認定される
